2/11/12 - 'The Boarder' Movie and Projects Update
Dear Supporters,
The time has come for another exciting update about 'The Boarder' movie. By now some of you may know that our feature film is part of a group of projects we call The Boarder Projects. This comprehensive, three pronged concept includes the independent film called 'THE BOARDER'; an enlightening 30 minute, one-of-a-kind documentary entitled "Finding Hope for Reactive Attachment Disorder"; and the newly founded Jane E Ryan Institute for Family Health, or the Ryan Institute, which is a therapeutic foundation set up as the basis of a non-profit organization. In what we refer lovingly to as The Boarder Movement, all three Boarder Projects work together beautifully to meet several goals, including, but not limited to: the support and education of parents, families and professionals who love and what to help survivors of early childhood trauma; identify & diagnose the mental health problem(s); provide educational workshops; and offer treatment and follow-up care to survivors of trauma based disorders, such as RAD, PTSD, etc. The Ryan Institute also trains professionals in loving, gentle therapeutic skills that facilitate attachment and bonding so they can foster positive changes to those living with attachment difficulties. We are so pleased with the story that 'THE BOARDER' brings to the big screen and are seriously excited about presenting the film and the documentary to those who have waited so patiently. After months of demanding work we're happily heading for the finish line! Our work on 'The Boarder' movie and documentary continue to be intense, but we know we are truly on the right track and making great strides to complete both projects by Spring, 2012. Currently my goal for release the documentary, "Finding Hope for Reactive Attachment Disorder" has been penciled in for March, 2012. Since the movie is the larger project, it requires much more production time, | therefore I'm hoping that 'THE BOARDER' film can be released by mid-April, 2012. I know, both dates are very ambitious but we are hopeful and encourage our post production teams to rally to help us meet those goals.
Upon worldwide release, we anticipate premiere's and showings of 'THE BOARDER' in select theaters, as well as on television. We also plan to use the movie and documentary as part of workshops on trauma based illnesses. Sales of the DVD's will be through distribution and Internet sites. Along the way, I'll gladly keep you informed of release dates and dates & locations for showings of both projects. You can also plan on hearing more about the Ryan Institute for Family Health as we continue to grow, but in the meantime, know that our work with families has already begun! I've been sharing my experiences and research at workshops for parents and professionals for over 20 years and will continue doing so upon request. Please feel free to contact me at ryanjane@charter.net or theboardermovie@gmai.com if you have concerns about a troubled child or are interested in having me present information about Attachment Disorders at your organization's seminar or workshop. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wise and generous investments and donations of time, money and encouragement. Without your incredible support, kindness, and generosity, none of The Boarder Projects would exist! Please believe me when I say, we will not let you down. See you at the movies! God bless you all! In gratitude.... Jane E Ryan Also, here is a list of the ANGELS who donated funds to help us complete The Boarder movie. The names appear in alphabetical order: |

Initially these awesome people pledged monies via Kickstarter, but when that effort was unsuccessful, sent the funds to us privately. For your kindness, I wish you heartfelt thanks and the best God has to give you in return!
